Bath time horror!?!?

Bath time has been a really fun time for P and J. Part of our bedtime routine is her daddy bath - nothing creepy, just J is in charge of that part of the evening. It has been great. She plays, splashes, and even has been pulling the plug on the drain when the bath ends.

Enter this past Monday (also the day I signed P up for "swim lessons").

P is suddenly FREAKED out by the bath tub! She is basically trying to climb out. I tried to give her a bath but she reacted the same way. We are not sure what to do. We tried less water. More toys for distraction. I am going to try getting in with her tonight. We are at a loss after that. I know that a nightly bath is not absolutely necessary but she is so dirty from crawling all over she really needs it.

Any help out there?

Registered!

I am officially in! Registration opened for the 3 day and mine is done! We are just over 10 weeks away but I can't wait!

P and I celebrated with a training walk!

TAT - Firsts

I am joining up with Melissa at Growing Up Geeky for another round of Toddle Along Tuesday. I love her first - super cute video!

I feel like every day is a first with P, but I think that my favorite so far is that she knows where to go for some of the things we do every day. For example, at night when it is time for her bath, J will say, "Are you ready for your bath?" The P will stop what she is doing and crawl over the the bottom of the stairs!

At the sitter she goes to her high chair when it is time for lunch. This amazes our sitter. I love that she knows what we are saying and can demonstrate that to us. We are working on some signs and words, but her actions let me know that she is learning! I love it!

Milestone Monday

Amid the weekend of chores, P has decided that she s officially a cruiser! She finally started pulling up a few weeks ago and now she is full time standing along the furniture or at the window. It is adorable, if I do say so!

She has also decided that she likes to play with the phone and monitor, yeah (said with sarcasm!

I'm back!

It has been a crazy week here! School is wrapping up, track got really busy (only 2 nights left), and we had to clean! Things are slowing done so I'm back. I have started planing my summer starting with a garage sale. I'm not sure I have as much as I ha originally thought but if it will lean out our basement and guest room a little more than things are good!

I am working on cohosting with Growin Up Geeky in June too! I am excited - keep an eye out for it!

What I learned today

I am really getting into the meat of my training for the Breast Cancer 3 Day. Today I did an 8 mile walk and while out there I learned a few things. Here they are!

1. If I walk on all of the sidewalks in my neighborhood (a couple small stretches twice to take P home), it is just short of 8 miles. This is oddly irritating when trying to get 8 miles in.

2. I love having my sister's old jogging stroller. I think P likes it too but she did hit the wall a about 3.5 mikes.

3. I am really nervous that my feet will bother me the further into training I get and I don't know what to do about it.

4. I need to find some new shorts to wear. My skort just isn't going to cut it.

5. I am sooooooo excited about the walk!!

Product review:Origami Owl

I stumbled upon Origami Owl from another blog and feel in love with the idea. I love jewelry but have never been a big bracelet person. So when bead bracelets came out, they always intrigued me but I just could not commit. Enter Origami Owl!

I have the medium silver locket with 4 charms. I picked the wedding ring (for J), March birthstone (for P), the apple (for me), and the pink ribbon (for a lot if people but most importantly, my mom). I love it!! I love what I have but I love that I can add more charms or change some out. I am looking at some of the dangles and plates too.

Here is my locket with charms:

There are lots of ways to put together a combo that is truly yours. Here are more cool combos:

I am currently hosting an online party at http://jennifer.origamiowl.com/. Just use party ID 2694 in the payment information if you order this month. If you stumble upon this later this summer, just mention my name. I am a locket ambassador!

It really is a sickness

I totally know what my summer will be comprised of:
1. walking (either training or actually walking the 3 Day)
2. summer school (a very small part)
3. Playing with and enjoying P (THE biggest part)
4. Garage sale (that I somehow need to get ready for)
5. Making all of the fun stuff that I have found on Pinterest!

I know that I wrote about it before but I have found more people to follow that have common interests as I do and have tried a few more recipes. It really is getting silly!

TAT - Bedtime routines

Bedtime is relaxing and hectic at the same time in our house! After dinner, we usually have some time to play. Then J gives P her bath. While that is happening, I am repacking her bag for the sitter (including bottles, breakfast, and lunch) and getting my shower in.

Then J gives P her bottle while I clean up the toys. Tonight I gave her the bottle because we were off our normal schedule.

Then p and I head upstairs for a book and some cuddle time. This is some of my favorite time of the day. I don't exactly rock her to sleep (anymore) but I still a, holding on to those minutes with her each night.

After cuddling I put her in her crib with a lovey, taggie blanket, and a fuzzy blanket. Then I turn on her soother and head out of her room. She still cries a little as she gets herself settled in the pile of blankets.

J gets in his shower, while i get my stuff (clothes, lunch, clean up kitchen). I get some time to grade, blog, or watch tv. Then J and I are in bed by 10:30. All in all a great night every time!
