TAT: wish list for P

Christmas is less than 2 months away!  I have started shopping - have you?  This week on Toddle Along Tuesday, Melissa is talking kid wish lists. Here is what we are hoping for P.

1. Play Kitchen - we really bounced around in this one and I'm not sure we're settled but now this KidKraft one is top on the list.

2. Plenty of kitchen gear to go with it.

3. Clothes, of course. I <3 div="div" nbsp="nbsp" these.="these.">

4. Books. These look cute.

5. Purse. There are a few tat look cute but I really like Melissa and Doug products!

6. We would love to get P some sort of ride on toy. This is a dream but any ride on item will probably wait until her birthday in the spring.

Work out up date

I made a small mistake in getting back into working out. I told my "trainer" (AKA my athletic friend writing my workouts) that the first one wasn't too hard. This next round was apparently devised to kill me!
I'm not sure why it keeps going sideways
I did the first round of this Thursday and I am still SO SORE. I plan on going back tomorrow but I have a ton of school work. I am really trying to get in 3 days a week with at least one rest day in between. I did that for the past 4 weeks except I missed one Sunday when my cold was killing the house.

I feel a little stronger and my cardio is coming back. The running was hard but I managed 5 minutes of jogging with 5 minutes of very fast walking followed by 5 minutes of jogging. The crunches kill me too. Surprisingly the lunges and squats, which seemed the easiest in the workout are the parts that made me the most sore.

I still haven't weighed myself and (not surprisingly) my clothes fit the same. I feel good about taking time for myself and getting it done. We will see what day new of this workout does to me!!

19 months

I am terribly late with this update. Bad mom!  Here goes!

Age: 19 months

Sizes: Still size 4 diapers.  Overnights have been fine - yeah! Strangely as we have moved into pants we have had to go back to some 18 month clothes. They seem to fit better. Kids clothes are just as oddly sized as adults I guess!

Sleeping: She is doing well here. We have had a rough week with a cold and eye teeth coming in! It's the perfect storm!

Eating: Still great here.  She really loves fruit most and has gone away from veggies a little but still ears plenty. We have gone bottle free!  Milk intake has gone down but our pedi is okay with around 12oz a day plus yogurt. I think we're doing okay.

Favorites: as I have talked before, she LOVES her doll and Minnie. They go everywhere with us!  She is very cute with them.   She loves playing peek a boo - around corners, under a blanket, with my iPad, everywhere!  I love it!

She's a doll girl - TAT

I always wondered when my girl would pick up on a lovie or toys that she had to have. Well, she has. It started totally innocent. Just having her doll (AKA baby) or Minnie in the car. Then she napped with Minnie once at the sitter's house. Today she cried at nap time because Minnie was in my car.

Here are the culprits!

So what is your LO attached to these days?  Read more about obsessions with Melissa and Toddle Along Tuesday!

Weekly wrap up

Sorry for the small delay in my posting. We had a very rough weekend here. P and I got home from work on Friday to find one of our cats had passed. It was rough with what to do with P while I got Piglet checked on. Of course it was almost closing time for our vet's office but the did get me in contact with a super pet cemetery. Between their pick up service and my mom coming over with no notice, we got through it. J had a really tough time with it because Piglet was his first pet. We are hoping he isn't suffer much and know this is for the better.

In better terms, here is my plan for this week:
- my next give away starts tomorrow!
- TAT will be back again
- I will be updating my work outs, maybe with a new one
- P turned 19 months, I need an update!

TAT: our wedding day

Toddle Along Tuesday is back!  This week's topic is all about  weddings!  I am excited about sharing with everyone, but when I started to get this post together, I realized that I don't have very many photos from our wedding digitally.  Needless to say, sorry for the qualityof the pictures because I went old school and took pictures of pictures!

Our wedding was on a beautiful Saturday in July - 7/14/01 to be exact!  That was a long time ago!  I loved everything about the day.  We had a relaxing morning getting ready.  We did have a small delay before the ceremony due to traffic that held up family getting there, but no worries for us.  Jeff said he napped and the girls and I made up cheers!

Now for the photos!

Our announcement picture!  I LOVED my flowers - simple but perfect!

One of the best moments of the day - being with my dad and seeing J for the first time!

We look so young in this shot to me!

All my girls!  I wish the blue of their dresses came across better in pictures!

Our guys!

It was a great day.  No regrets on any choices except not having a video.  My memories are fantastic though!  How about your day?

Weekly wrap up

Ahh, wrapping up a long weekend. It was too busy but nice to get some stuff, work, and fun stuff done. I spend Friday with P running errands and cleaning. Saturday I worked a cross country meet in the morning, then we hosted J's parents for dinner. Sunday we did family pictures at a local park (I can't wait to see them!) and went out for dinner for my niece's birthday. Now, I'm relaxing, going to read the paper, and get to bed!

Here's the blog plan for the week:
- TAT of course
- wordless Wednesday will be sweet
- update on my workouts
- I am guest hosting about meal planning - link to come!
- I am working on a new autumn wreath for our door. I will be posting about it but it may not be until next week
- I am starting to really think about holiday shopping, gift giving, budgeting, etc. I will be writing about that soon (within a few weeks)

Thanks for being here!

PS
I have a great giveaway coming next week and at the beginning if November too!

Work Out Update

I decided to kick it up a notch this week.  I met with a great friend of mine who is a real athlete to me.  She played basketball at a division I school and is in shape more than I will ever be, even after her first child.  She knows how the body works and how to make it stonger.

She developed a plan for me:

I have now done her workout twice.  My goal is 3 workouts a week.  She wants me to do this for 2 weeks and then we will see where I can increase.  I told her to start me at what she would consider zero.  I know that my cardio is lighter that I can do, but with adding the weights, I have room to improve for sure!

I have not weighed or measured myself and I don't think that I will.  I don't need to be a certain weight or size.  I just want to feel good and my clothes to fit!  I know that it will not be overnight but I don't want to buy too much.  Let's see how I can make my 4-5 pants work for a while!

Wordless Wednesday: P's's new obsession

P got a little doll in one of our many trips to Target. It took a few weeks but now "baby" is a part if our daily life. Today I told J that I will be getting another doll the next time we head to the store!

TAT: my little crazy

Toddle Along Tuesday has us talking about quirky habits of our LOs. P has plenty but my 2 favorites right now are her love of boxes and her "walks."

I have posted about her box obsession before. Here is a little taste:

Or you can read more here:http://myorganizedchaosverstreate.blogspot.com/2012/09/wordless-wednesday-box-love.html

P was a "late" walker at almost 16 months but she has not let this stop her.
Now the minute we pull in the driveway, her first reaction is to say "WALK!"  She could go outside forever!
Here are my favorite shots! (Some are inside, I know!)

Weekly wrap-up

Hello!  I have a stack of grading in front of me but I am happy to say the cleaning, laundry, and meal prep is already done for the week (except the shower, that needs cleaning). This week will be a long and short week for me. We have Friday off school for a fall break {happy dance}! I also have 2 cross country meets and parent teacher conferences. This means 2 late nights and a early, busy Saturday.

I have some good things planned for the blog world this month, but for this week, here is the plan:
- TAT of course
- Wordless Wednesday will be super cute!
- update on my working out. I'm hoping to make this a link up opportunity for my readers!

Happy fall everyone!

Get in shape girl

Last Friday was a bad start to my weekend. I got out of my car at work and headed into school. I said hi to my principal and realized I had dropped my keys. I turned around, bent over, and......

RIP!  I wound up with a HUGE hole in my favorite jeans!
This picture doesn't even do the hole justice. Thank goodness for a fantastic husband for bringing me new pants ASAP!

Moral of the story is, I have stopped working out since the 3 Day and my thighs and booty are paying for it. My schedule is crazy busy but I am scheduling time to get at least two (working towards 3) workouts a week.

I started small. I went to the gym two days a week fir the past 3 weeks. I had out in a good 30 minutes on the elliptical each time.  Starting next week I will be adding in some weights and ab work.

Fingers crossed that by Christmas things are fitting better and I feel better!  I will randomly update my progress here too!

A {very late} Wordless Wednesday
